Directed by Venu Udugula of ‘Needi Naadi Oke Katha’ fame, Virata Parvam is set in the interiors of Telangana and sheds light on the Naxal issues, specifically the moral dilemma that prevailed during these last years. Acclaimed actor-cum-filmmaker Nandita Das is making her Telugu debut with this project and talking about her part, she said “I am doing the film for the script, the director’s vision and the role. Had no idea who I was replacing and how does it matter. In Hyderabad, started shooting for the film. Nervous about speaking Telugu.”
While ‘Mahanati’ cinematographer Dani Sanchez-Lopez is handling the camera for Virata Parvam and Suresh Bobbili is composing the music, Hollywood stunt director Stefan Richter has been reportedly roped in to choreograph the action sequences. The film is jointly bankrolled by D Suresh Babu and Sudhakar Cherukuri.
Besides this project, Rana is gearing up for the release of his upcoming trilingual ‘Haathi Mere Saathi’ titled as Aranya in Telugu. To look his part as a 50-year-old jungle man, the ‘Nene Raju Nene Mantri’ actor followed a strict diet regime and underwent extensive training to shed down nearly 30 kilos from his body.
