The new Citroen CC21 subcompact SUV is all set to make its world debut on September 16, 2021. It is a part of the brand’s C-Cubed programme, under which Citroen India plans to launch four new products in India by 2023.
The French automaker Citroen entered the Indian car market with the launch of the C5 Aircross SUV, which happened earlier this year. The carmaker is now ready to unveil its second offering in the country, codenamed CC21. The subcompact SUV is all set to make its world debut on September 16, 2021. The carmaker has recently dropped a teaser of the SUV on its social media accounts just ahead of its official debut, revealing the front design. The upcoming SUV has been spotted testing in India on several occasions.

The subcompact SUV is a part of the brand’s C-Cubed programme, under which the company plans to launch four new products in India by 2023. It will be underpinned by the highly-localised Common Modular Platform (CMP), developed specifically for emerging markets like India and Brazil. The recent teaser suggests the subcompact SUV will sport a signature chrome grille, and split headlamp setup. Based on the previous spy pictures, the SUV will also get a sculpted bonnet, sleek ORVMs, squarish-wheel arches, underbody cladding, LED taillamps, bumper cladding, alloy wheels and more.
Under the hood, the upcoming Citroen CC21 SUV is expected to share its powertrains with the globally sold C3. The petrol version will come with the 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbocharged unit, and the diesel will get the 1.5-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged oil burner. More details about the car are likely to be revealed tomorrow.
