  • Rasam may help boost immunity
  • Rasam is basically an appetiser but you can pair it with rice or vada too

It is that time of the year again, the temperatures are setting new records, and apart from wrapping ourselves in layers of woolen, there’s little that you can do in combatting this biting cold. Rasam is a South Indian soup that is served piping hot and is meant to be consumed that way. People also like to pair rice and idli with their rasam, because the soup is so versatile and loaded. It is sharp, tangy, spicy and just perfect for the weather. There are many kinds of rasam, but we have to say that we are a tad biased towards tomato rasam, simply because of the tangy punch it comes with.
