Sirvodem Sports Club are on top of the Vedanta GFA Women’s League after the completion of first leg fixtures as they beat Futebol Club in their fourth match of the tournament. Sirvodem beat Futebol Club YFA 1-0 with their captain Nevilla Colaco scoring the only goal of the match in the fourth minute. With the victory, Sirvodem are on top of the table with second leg fixtures yet to be played.
Sirvodem are on top with better goal difference than FC Goa. On Sunday, both Sirvodem and FC Goa had 10 points each but the former had a goal difference of 16, compared to 14 of FC Goa. FCG did not concede a single goal throughout the first phase and scored 14 while Sirvodem found the back of the net 17 times and conceded one goal. Earlier in the day, FC Goa beat Goa United Sports Academy 7-0 with Stessi Cardozo scoring four, Joizima Fernandes two and one by Suhata Shetty. The fifth team in the mix is Compassion FC.
