‘AK vs AK’ trailer: Anurag Kashyap kidnaps Anil Kapoor’s daughter Sonam Kapoor; here’s why

After an intense Twitter feud, Anurag Kashyap and Anil Kapoor indulged in some serious issues and fighting. The duo did so at the trailer launch and in the trailer of their upcoming movie ‘AK vs AK’.

The trailer of the film shows major heated moments between Anurag and Anil. In one of the scenes, Anurag even throws a glass of water on Anil Kapoor.

‘AK vs AK’ trailer hinted that the movie is about Anurag Kashyap kidnapping Anil Kapoor’s daughter Sonam Kapoor Ahuja. Yes, Sonam has a cameo appearance in the movie. She is, in fact, seen kidnapped in the movie while on a video call with two people.

Anurag has given Anil Kapoor 10 hours to find Sonam. He warned Kapoor that all the pain and events would be happening in real life. Thus begins Anil Kapoor’s search for his daughter – in a state of desperation, pain and a constant feeling of helplessness.

Apart from Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, Anil Kapoor’s brother and producer Boney Kapoor is also a part of the movie. Boney has stayed off-screen even though his daughter Janhvi Kapoor and son Arjun Kapoor are actors.

Anurag Kashyap and Anil Kapoor’s clash with one another in their upcoming Netflix film ‘AK vs AK’ will be available for streaming from December 24. The film is directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, last remembered for ‘Bhavesh Joshi’, which released in 2018.

Before the trailer of ‘AK vs AK’ released, Anurag and Anil got into a Twitter banter that could be considered a part of the team’s marketing strategy.
